Eyes: ojos

Mouth: boca

Nose: nariz

Chest: pecho

Stomach: estómago

Back: espalda

Head: cabeza

Torso: tronco

Limbs: extremidades

Hands: manos

Arms: brazos

Legs: piernas

Fingers: dedos

Foot/feet: pie/pies

Your body has three parts :head  ,torso and limbs . Your arms and legs are your limbs. Joints help you move your body .  

El  cuerpo tiene tres partes : la cabeza , el tronco y las extremidades . Los brazos y las piernas son las extremidades . Las articulaciones ayudan al cuerpo a moverse.

SKELETON    /   EL ESQUELETO

Skull: cráneo

Ribs: costillas 

Spine: columna vertebral

Your body has a skeleton inside . The skeleton supports your body . The skeleton is made of bones . Bones are hard and rigid.

 Dentro del cuerpo hay un esqueleto. El cuerpo se apoya en el esqueleto. El esqueleto está hecho de huesos . Los huesos son duros y rígidos.

The skull is your head bone. / El cráneo es el hueso de la cabeza.

The ribs and spine are in your torso./ Las costillas y la columna vertebral están en el tronco.

We have bones and muscles to help us move. Muscles are elastic and soft. Muscles pull bones to move them. Muscles relax and contract.   

Los huesos y músculos nos ayudan a movernos .Los músculos son elásticos y blandos .Los músculos tiran de los huesos para moverlos. Los músculos se aflojan y se contraen.

INTERNAL ORGANS   / LOS ÓRGANOS

Lungs: los pulmones

Brain: el cerebro

Heart: el corazón

We breathe with our lungs à Respiramos con los pulmones .

We think with our brainà Pensamos con el cerebro .

Our heart pumps blood around our body à Nuestro corazón hace que la sangre se distribuya por el cuerpo.                                                                                     

SENSES  /   LOS SENTIDOS

Smell: olfato

Taste: gusto

Touch: tacto

Hearing: oído

Sight: vista

We have five senses. Our senses tell us about the world around us.

Tenemos cinco sentidos.  Los sentidos nos dan información sobre el mundo a nuestro alrededor.

You hear with your ears à Se oye con los oídos

You see with  your eyes à Se ve con los ojos

You smell with your nose à Se huele con la naríz

You taste with your nose à Se saborea con la lengua

You touch with your skin à Se toca con la piel

- We hear sounds that are loud and quiet à Oímos sonidos fuertes y flojos .

- Some things smell good and some smell bad à Hay cosas que huelen bien y otras que huelen mal.

- We see light and dark colours à Vemos colores claros y oscuros .        

- We touch things that are hard and soft , smooth and rough à Tocamos cosas duras y blandas , suaves y rugosas.

- We taste food that is sweet , sour , salty and bitter à Probamos comida dulce , ácida , salada y amarga.
